Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, at 1515 N. Hwy 191 in Moab, is conveniently located only a mile from the Arches National Park entrance, and within minutes of both the city’s downtown, and Lion’s Park along the Colorado River.

The hotel’s amenities are many, including a heated pool open year-round, two hot tubs, plus a fitness room and laundry facilities, both open 24 hours. Guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast that includes eggs, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, and “amazing” hot cinnamon rolls, said the hotel’s general manager Christy Melo. The hotel also offers free wi-fi.

Hotel owner Justin Mabey purchased the 22-year-old property two years ago, and has since been remodeling the entire lodge, said Melo. The interior has been completely renovated, with all rooms outfitted with new mattresses, bedding, furniture, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges.

The Holiday Inn can accommodate large families or groups who want to stay together in one room. In addition to the hotel’s standard rooms, there are units with queen-sized beds, pull-out couches, and either twin- or queen-sized bunk beds – rooms that sleep six or eight people. Room rates vary depending on the season, starting at $75, going up to $339 during the height of tourist season.

Inside the lobby, visitors will find various printed literature regarding Moab, including copies of Moab Happenings which includes information on a vast array of Moab restaurants and an extensive calendar on things to do or see in the Moab area.
Holiday Inn plans to add more amenities this year, including the addition of a lazy river in the heated pool. Plus, more outdoor seating, additional fire pits, and an EV-charging station in the parking lot are all coming soon, said Melo.

The nearest airport is Canyonlands Field Airport, 16 miles from the hotel. Arches’ Landscape Arch is just 13 miles from the hotel, while Delicate Arch is 15 miles away.
